Honestly, how does one deal with a homophobic idiot that's close friends with a best friend of your's?

I spent the entire night trying to resist the urge to tear into that homophobe's neck simply because my friend had asked me nicely not to. But, honestly, how much can one take before they rip them a new one?

I think I'm too nice. Maybe it's time I left some bodies torn apart. What do you think?

End Transmission.

Ask your friend to talk to him, otherwise tell your friend you can't hang out wtih both of them because you find it outright offensive and wrong, as well as it putting you down. I've told my friends to stop using gay as a remark, and although bad habits die hard, it's nice that they try ^^v. And attacking anyone won't do anyone good.

As the comment above mentioned, you should ask your friend to talk to him. Getting violent will put you at his level, maybe lower. And if your friend doesn't talk to him, then it shows they're not being good friend to begin with. Good luck with everything! Let us know how it goes!

It's not that I get violent with him(cause I know I can put him down on his knees and make him beg for his life if need be), it's just resisting the urge not to sink to his level of petty insults and use of $10 words to try to please our vanity.

In other words, trade remarks for remarks. I've talked to my friend, but those random situations(like last night) come up where last minute plans end up including the both of us. -_-

It was not cool to be on Christopher St, and hear him go "Wow, so many fags in one place is too weird" and resist the urge to make a remark back cause I promised my friend I'd be more civilized. {{The girl we went with made the comment for me, but still.}}

idk [[is feeling too ranty and whiny]]

You can never be too ranty or whiny here! That's what we're here for! ^_^

Man if I had been there and heard that I would've honestly popped him in the jaw. I hate it when people say the word fag. If my close friends use it jokingly, it doesn't bother me. But if someone uses it in a derogitory way, I see red.
